Hello again... my old friend

Wow... Where to begin? It's been a long year.

Well first off, I've moved my 'primary' blog to WordPress. For reasons that will become clear as you read this post, this blog will serve less as a daily grind and more as a personal rant. I don't intend on changing the spirit nor the name of the blog as it will definitely still apply. I just am currently a little preoccupied with other endeavors that require slightly more focused blogging.

The other two blogs I am responsible for? "To Live, Love and Divorce in LA" and "Krejca Creative Group" So your first thought is probably, uh, divorce? Yep. The undocumented but oft-quoted "I'LL NEVER GET A DIVORCE AGAIN" guy, is getting another divorce. The 'BS' part of this is; "Breaking up is hard to do..." I really friggin' hate breaking up. On so many levels, I can not even begin to cover that here. One thing I can say is; I was dragged into this, kicking and screaming and it almost killed me. Literally... More on that later.

The 'Bacon' part of this is, I've started my own agency. Or, more accurately I am in the process of starting my own agency. This sh#@ ain't easy! I've learned a lot about myself over the past year. One other 'bacon' of this, July 4th really is Independence Day again! Ok, that's just not right, but it feels good, so... BACON! But too much of a good thing can kill you.

So, nearly killed me? Yeah, I had a minor heart attack in October of last year. Ironically enough, on the anniversary of asking my last wife to marry me. Sign? Who knows... One thing for sure, I had to make some changes. Diet had to change... WOW, did it change! Exercise more often? Well, 2-4 times a week will have to do for now. But I have done the Santa Monica Stairs! I need to do those more often, they're actually 'fun'...

Well, 3 blogs in one day is kinda my limit... I need a churro! Iron Man 2 tonight... Who's in?

HTML is a four letter word

I'm sure I'm not the first to notice that, let alone 'make note' of it. But I'll be badonked if I'm not going to make a point about it.

The first time you had coffee? Crap right? But you so wanted to like it... I mean all the 'grown ups' liked it. It had to be good? 20 years later you can kick the shit to save your life! HTML!!! At first; all that 'code'? punctuation as a language? 'code' is 'interpreted' differently by different browsers AND machines? WTF... I mean seriously, somebody needs to kick that guy in the GoNads! And I mean HARD, from BEHIND too!

Of course, civilization as we know it would END tomorrow without the WWW... So I guess 'coffee' is here to stay. So we might as well enjoy it while we can. But that's the rub. The finished product looks so simple. And the experience is so marvelous, suddenly we all think we can make a cup of coffee. EVEN those of us who SWORE we would NEVER try to make a cup, find ourselves 'experimenting'.

Well, thanks for letting me get this off my chest. What? Is that a little abrupt? Well, those of us who enjoy our 'coffee' know what the 'jitters' mean. More java, STAT! Oh, and for actual Coffee, you HAVE TO HAVE one of these!!!

There is no 'I' in Team

Ironically, I don't see any 'us' in team either??? I mean, 'we' don't pick new clients? Do 'we' make the pitch? Do 'we' determine who pays what? Do 'we' decide how the company w2.0rks?

Yeah, that's a no. However, 'we' are taking a pay cut. 'We' are having to accept subpar output.

I need some bacon... Of to Cheesecake Factory in the Marina... Wind on my face, Veal Romano in my belly, and a good stiff drink will help me remember, why "I" put up with it...

Oh Zoom... where fore art thou?

Moving ahead on Monday

I must say, the everyday thing is going to be the hardest to maintain... So, one of the first blogs i intend on reviewing and 'digesting' is Chicago Gluttons. It's all about restaurants and the quality of of service. It is honestly, more the style of writing than the restaurants. I am a chicago native, but currently reside in LA. It is hysterical to read the authors take on local eating establishments.

at anyrate, i will be going into a full course meal in digesting this blog...

original line in 2009

so, in anticipation of starting a daily blog in 2009, i've decided to start a preview blog here.

in 2009, i'm going to do a daily blog on my take of the blog scene. i'll be reviewing / commenting on blogs i run across and/or feel are relevant. as i intend this to be a daily occurance, i anticipate the need to also simply comment on the state of blogging as it will be.

if anyone sees this and has input, please advise... tomorrow's blog will cover some of my initial thoughts on the first couple of weeks.
